The spider is a swift hunter, living on the ground and in grass. The females carry large egg sacs around in their jaws. Later, on the tips of plants, they spin a substantial nursery web in which the young hatch. The length is 10-13 mm. It is found on the four main islands of Japan - namely, Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu. |
