Pistius undulatus (Thomisidae) [Japanese name : gazami-gumo]


IllustThe spider walks on grass, and waits for its prey by expanding its

long legs on the foliage.

In winter, the spiders live under the bark of trees.

The length is 9-11 mm.

It is found on the four main islands of Japan - namely, Hokkaido,

Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu.
