Dictyna felis (Dictynidae) [Japanese name : neko ha-gumo]


IllustSpiders spin the tent-like web on the leaves.

The spider is hiding under the thread, and attaches corpse of its prey such as

flies to the web.

The length is 4-5 mm.

It is found on three main islands in Japan - namely, Honshu, Shikoku, and

Kyushu.
