The spider inhabits the bush of plains and forests, paddy fields etc.

The spiders weave an orb web in a low place. The web has a zigzag-ribbon

type of stabilimentum, or the band of the white thread.

When you touch the spider's web, the spider shakes the web for a long time.

The abdomen is long, and there is a thin, lateral, black and yellow striped

pattern.

The length is 20-25 mm.

It is found throughout Japan.
